Successful third edition of the Tour Challenge with no less than 1.239.774 kilometers
More than 6.600 employees from 14 companies mounted their bikes to equal the stage distances of the real Tour de France together with their team.
In 2017, Energy Lab introduced its first Tour Challenge. The aim? To form a team with which you collectively ride the same distance as the riders in that day’s Tour de France stage. More than 900 Ineos employees took up the three-week challenge.
In 2018, five companies (Ineos, Deloitte, Deme, Arvesta, Athora) took part, with 1.391 motivated cyclists ready to complete the challenge.
From the 6th to the 28th of July, the Tour spirit could be felt in no les than 14 companies. Over 6.600 employees formed teams that performed fantastically. Their rides were automatically logged to the wellbeing platform thanks to numerous connected wearables and apps. The team challenges and the individual jersey classifications added a playful competitive touch. They were a favorite topic during lunch or coffee breaks.
During this third Tour Challenge, 1.239.774 kilometers of cycling were logged across the different platforms. Congratulations to all participants!
