Christmas pounds? What on earth are you talking about! Your Holidays don’t need to end where you put on a sad face looking at the scale. With some small adjustments to your party plans, you can enjoy Christmas dinners carefree. We’ve made you a step-by-step guide.

Planning works
What and how much you eat and drink? You can plan it to a large extent. The day before the party, think about what and how much you will eat. Because making healthy decisions is easier when you aren’t hungry. A bespoke nutrition plan lets you stay in control.

Precautionary snack attack
Party time! But before you depart, eat a healthy snack such as a fruit yoghurt. That way you are less inclined to start attacking the snack bowl filled with fried appetizers. If you arrive with an empty stomach, you might just swallow the bowl whole.

“Thanks, but I’m driving”
When offered an aperitif, you can avoid caloric alcohol by spontaneously signing up as designated driver. One of the, if not the most socially valued reason to drink less. Your body and your friends will be grateful!

Turning water into wine … or is it the other way around?
The first festivities are over. You’re ready to sit down at the dinner table. According to etiquette there should be a wine and water glass. It’s all about proximity. Simply position your glass of wine and glass of water so that the glass of water stands closest. You consciously grab the glass of water first.

Veggies yes, fat no
The course marathon has commenced. Rethink what you put on your plate. Fill it with a lot of vegetables. Eat these first and leave less room for high-calorie options. But what about the Christmas goose? Well, putting aside the skin already saves 40 calories per serving.

Do the dishes
Get some exercise done throughout the party to compensate for the extra calories. For example, help serve dinner and do a part of the dishes. The hosts will thank you. Moreover, it makes you less drowsy after a big meal. Focus From start to finish, keep in mind the real reason you are there: being together with friends and family. You’ll focus more on the conversation and less on the glass in your hand. And if you were to end the Holidays with some added pounds, no worries! We know how to get rid of that Holiday weight.
