Mensura and KeepMoving get SMEs moving together
Energy Lab and Mensura enter into strategic partnership
Energy Lab's online exercise platform KeepMoving and Mensura, External Service for Prevention and Protection at Work, have entered into a partnership. In this way, both organizations offer the clients of the external service access to all the sporting options of the online platform. The aim is to encourage employees to exercise enough and thus boost their physical and mental health. The kick-off of this collaboration is the Mensura Vitality Challenge, which primarily aims to introduce the SME market to sporting challenges for employees in a low-threshold manner.
Thanks to the online exercise platform KeepMoving, companies can organize low-threshold exercise challenges for their employees. The web platform offers a choice of ready-made challenges or tailor-made sporting challenges.
“Employees are motivated to take action through gamification, a pinch of competitiveness and great rewards. In addition, we offer practical inspiration within the platform to promote a healthy lifestyle.” PIETERJAN BLONDEEL, BUSINESS LEAD KEEPMOVING AT ENERGY LAB
Activation and connection
“Both large and smaller companies seem to need tools more than ever to activate and connect their employees,” adds Kim Van Asch, Corporate Venturing & Partnerships Manager at Mensura. “We notice this from the many questions our clients have. Organizations are looking for ways to break out of the ‘drag’ of working from home or to make employees aware of a healthy lifestyle. KeepMoving's exercise challenges provide a perfect answer to these questions and strengthen our Vitality offering, where we focus on exercise, healthy nutrition and mental health. A partnership was a logical step in that regard.”
Mensura Vitality Challenge
To highlight the partnership, Energy Lab and Mensura are launching the Mensura Vitality Challenge. The challenge: Each team must collect 1 million steps in three weeks. Both walking and running are allowed. Participants link their activity app with the platform to automatically register their daily steps. During the challenge, participants receive a weekly motivational email with an inspiring blog post and can follow their progress in real time on the platform. As a team you compete against colleagues in other teams, but also against teams from other participating organizations. Mensura has already tested the challenge in-house.
“A total of 51 teams covered 54,425 km, representing an average of 8.9 km per person, per day. A success, especially for a first edition. We are already getting questions when the next edition will start. A concrete challenge and the group experience make it much easier to get out of our chairs. We hope many clients will follow suit. Even during covid times, this can be organised in a safe manner, and some colleagues can still meet." KIM VAN ASCH, CORPORATE VENTURING & PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER OF MENSURA
Venturing into the SME market
“KeepMoving is very compatible with corporate wellbeing campaigns and activations and contributes strongly to employee engagement,” says Pieterjan Blondeel. “Large organizations such as Coca-Cola, Proximus, Imec, University of Antwerp, Novo Nordisk and Pfizer jumped on the bandwagon right from the start. Thanks to the collaboration with Mensura, we also want to reach the SME market in Belgium. Because there the need for healthy living and working is of course equally important.”
Mensura customers can get to know the exercise platform between 4 May and 21 June through this promotion by registering one or more teams of 6 people. The participation fee is € 300 per team (excl. VAT). Pieterjan Blondeel: “With this introductory prize, companies can get to know the platform. We hope that this will also be a success in the SME world, because it is much less obvious for small organizations to set up their own challenges. In this way we offer them the opportunity to compete regularly against other organizations, at an affordable price.”
